AS5600 looks VERY promising! By watching the video, I think that you can program them at any angle range. Added bonus: can work with 3.0-3.6V as well.
Thanks for sharing Jeruw and looking forward to see the results of your testing.

New toys for me as well:

I have ordered some samples of AS5600 as well. They also have a breakout board for that sensor which is quite expensive. 16.5€ from Digikey, but I would love to get one for my testings.
It would save me of a lot of trouble making a custom board and I won't have to replace my 3.3V pro micro for a 5V one.

Making progress

Image

Fitting is too tight. I had to hammer shaft to pass through pivot arm. Need to change hole diameter by 0.25mm for normal clearance.

Image

I've printed a pattern with 5 holes and different diameters to check before final print. I should have done that earlier.

Image

Other than that, I am very satisfied by the way it moves. Really smooth motion!

I have to thank George from www.3DExpert.gr for all his help. If it wasn't him, I wouldn't even start making my first Delta Throttle.

Working on a mechanism that will allow me to fine tune magnet's polarity, relevant to sensor and then lock it in place.
Once locked, it will rotate with shaft/pivot arm movement.

Looking good!!!

Got an email about new additions to servocity, saw this and figured it might help and wanted to share my thoughts. I'm thinking of the board and the 90 degree bracket with the hall sensor... The opening is the same height as the tube - rod would be. So the chip would line up nicely with the magnet. The board would be mounted just the opposite (facing side) than what is in the picture. The board has a 1.30” x 1.30” footprint. Could even have the tube - rod protrude out to bring it closer to the sensor.
